Basic Computer Software Specialist Certificate
Students must participate in and complete the following four courses in order to earn this introductory certificate:

Introduction to Excel
Tuesdays, September 13– October 25

Businesses, colleges and universities require students to create, analyze, and share important data quickly. This introductory course covers how to structure your spreadsheet for data input, how to create formulas, and then progress to dynamically displaying the results in a custom chart. Intermediate Excel
Tuesdays, November 1 – December 13

If you’re familiar with Excel and are ready to build upon that knowledge, then this is the course for you. This course will focus on pivot tables, using formulas for (but not limited to) financial, lookup and reference, and math and trig. Students will also learn about conditional formatting, how to protect your spreadsheet from changes and how to create macros for repetitive work. Advance charting and forms for easy data entry will also be covered. Register for Intermediate Excel.
Adobe Photoshop CC

This course will be taught online
Photoshop is used by a variety of professionals, from photographers to designers to videographers, Photoshop Part 1 will focus mainly on the photography component. The illustration and animation techniques are covered in subsequent levels of Photoshop. This course is a great component of your preparation for the Adobe Certified Expert (ACE): Photoshop CC exam and the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) Visual Communication Using Adobe Photoshop CC exam. Adobe InDesign

Across all industries, the ability to create documents in a word processor is essential in day-to-day functions. From writing reports to Knowing how to use Microsoft Word, the most widely-used word processing program, adds an important skill set to your professional profile. This course will introduce you to the 2019 version of Microsoft Word, available through the Office 365 online platform. You will learn the basics of Word 2019 needed to write and edit text and to create, format, and organize documents.
