Welcome to the Registrar’s Office!

The Registrar’s Office remains open both in person and virtually. You may contact us at registrar@sunysccc.edu for all of your registration and verification needs. We will answer all inquiries. Please see below for more information.

Important dates for Fall

  • Wednesday, Oct. 5 - Last Day to Withdraw (Eight Week)
  • Friday, Nov. 11 - Last Day to Withdraw from (Full Term and Fall Session II)

Winter Session

  • Online classes run December 27-January 13
  • General registration is begins Tuesday, October 11

How to Register for Classes

We encourage continuing students to register via the web as early as possible for the best course selections. Students enrolled in a degree or certificate program must meet with their advisor first (obtain your advisor PIN) before registering.
Begin the online registration process with College Scheduler.

COVID-19 Vaccination and Fall Course Registration

Students who have submitted verification of their Covid-19 vaccinations OR have received approval for an exemption from the Office of the Dean of Students:

  • Can enroll for the classes of their choice - both online and in-person courses.

Those not yet meeting SUNY mandated COVID requirements:

  • Can enroll for entirely online courses for fall 2022 or submit vaccination documentation to Student Affairs to take in-person on-campus courses.

If you have previously taken courses at SUNY Schenectady and know account name and password, you can log in to start registration.
If you do not know your account name and password, give us a call  at 518-381-1348 for assistance.
If the course for which you wish to register has a prerequisite which you meet but not with an SUNY Schenectady course, please register in person and bring proof of meeting the prerequisite course(s).

To enroll, please call 518-381-1366 or stop by the Admissions Office in the Stockade Building on the main campus or e-mail admissions@sunysccc.edu or apply here. Once you are admitted, you will receive information about advisement and registration.

If you are visiting SUNY Schenectady from another college and wish to register for a class, please contact the Registrar's Office to complete and submit a registration form. If the course for which you wish to register has a prerequisite which you meet but not with an SUNY Schenectady course, please bring proof of meeting the prerequisite course(s). New visiting students may begin registering when General Registration begins. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Registrar's Office at 518-381-1348 or registrar@sunysccc.edu.

If you have previously taken courses at SUNY Schenectady enrolled in a major, but have not been registered for more than a year (three or more semesters absent including summer), please contact the Academic Advisement office to reactivate your status. The Advisement Office can be reached at 518-381-1277 or AcademicAdvisement@sunysccc.edu. Their office is located in Elston 222.

COVID-19 Vaccination and Fall Course Registration

  • Can enroll for the classes of their choice - both online and in-person courses.

Those not yet meeting SUNY mandated COVID requirements:

  • Can enroll for entirely online courses for fall 2022 or submit vaccination documentation to Student Affairs to take in-person on-campus courses.

Auditing a course is offered on a space available basis in most courses. Online courses are available for audit only with the permission of the instructor. Students wishing to audit a course may come during the late registration period as indicated on the current Academic Calendar. Auditors pay full tuition and fees.

State and County residents 60 years or older may register as a Senior Audit without a fee or tuition, only during the late registration period as indicated on the Academic Calendar, on a space available basis. Online courses are not available for Senior Audit. For more information regarding auditing, please contact the Registrar’s Office.

You will receive a confirming e-mail in a few days once your registration has been processed. Please call the Office of Workforce Development and Community Education at 518-595-1101 ext. 3 if you have any questions concerning our community education courses.

 

Current Students

You may make your changes online with your advisors PIN if you are in a degree or certificate program. If you can’t make the change online, email us at registrar@sunysccc.edu with your ID number, your advisor’s PIN, and the requested add or drop.

Transcripts must be ordered directly using this link. There is no additional charge for this service. If you don’t remember your ID number, you may use your social security number.

We are not able to take transcript requests in-person at this time.

If you have any forms that we need to complete, please mail them to the Registrar’s Office, SUNY Schenectady, 78 Washington Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12305. If you can scan the form, we would be happy to accept it via the email address shown above. Faxes are also welcome at 518-381-1493.

Email us at registrar@sunysccc.edu from your college email account and state that you want to withdraw from course x (whatever course you need to withdraw from). Please include your student ID number.
